Throughout its existence, the Brecht Forum hosted regular art exhibitions, film showings, along with music, poetry and theatrical performances. Additionally, it provided space for ongoing arts programming in collaboration with independent collectives beginning with Neues Kabarett, an experimental jazz series initiated in 1998. Additional regular collaborations included  Strike Anywhere Theater Ensemble, Women on Wednesdays, Afro-Latino Café and Red Channels, a radical media collective, among others.
